Course description, Spanish for Travel

Spanish for Travel (7.5 hours, 5 weeks)

This course is for those who are about to travel to Spain or Latin America and who wish to acquire basic survival communication skills such as numbers, requests, asking directions, hotel and food vocabulary and other everyday needs, with some useful cultural background as well. We use audio-visual, and real materials.

Spanish for Travel also doubles as a taster, for those who might like to see if language study is something they'd like to do.

• Textbook - study materials are included in the course fee, so no extra text need be purchased. However we do recommend the following CD/book for students who would like to listen to Spanish:
• Usborne Internet-linked Spanish for Beginners Usborne Publishing an Illustrated phrasebook with CD ($27). El Patio stocks this text.
